For the last couple of years we have been helping veterans via Help for Heroes reach some personal goals.
This year was the 80th anniversary of the D-day landings, and so particularly poignant for all the ex-service people.
Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is a popular training goal for many service people, and on this day we even met Spidey who was on his 90th summit this year (fundraising).
Working with the veterans and seriously injured team is a real privilege. This year we had folk with amputations and serious brain injuries, and some more complex medical needs. None of the veterans were going to give up, and that makes for lots of inspiration for all the no-mad crew involved in the day.
100% record of getting all veterans to the various tops is really rewarding, and that doesn't happen without careful planning and management by some really excellent team members.
